Lisa Grode is a USC alumna with a longstanding connection to the entertainment industry.
After graduating from USC, she began her career in the mailroom at Creative Artists Agency
(CAA), where she spent ten years, rising through the ranks to become a talent agent. She
later joined William Morris Agency, where she continued her career as a talent agent until
2001, when she stepped away from the industry to focus on raising her family.
USC has remained an important part of Lisa’s life and family. All three of her children – twins
Rachel and Jake, and their brother Joe – are also USC graduates. Jake works at CAA, Joe is
a filmmaker, and Rachel is beginning her career as an attorney in the entertainment industry.
Lisa’s husband, Josh Grode, is CEO of Legendary Entertainment and formerly served on the
USC School of Dramatic Arts Board of Councilors.
Lisa is also proud to continue the legacy of her late mother-in-law, Susan Grode, a USC
Gould School of Law alumna and distinguished entertainment attorney who served on the
School of Dramatic Arts Board of Councilors from 2005 to 2014. Lisa is honored to carry
forward her family’s deep commitment to USC through her service on the Board and her
support of the next generation of artists and storytellers.
