Biography

Sara Fousekis has 25 years of experience leading fundraising campaigns for the performing arts. She assumed position as Chief Development Officer for the USC School of Dramatic Arts in 2012.  In this role, Sara is responsible for raising annual and capital funds to support critical areas of need such as scholarship, professional development programming, and the construction of a new dramatic arts center on campus.  Prior to her arrival at USC, Sara was the Associate Vice President of Development at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County and spent 10 years at the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre, where she was the Director of Development, Campaign.  Her areas of expertise include Board development, campaign fundraising and long-range strategic planning.  Sara has participated in numerous conferences/summits for groups such as Arts Reach and the James Irvine Foundation Peer Exchange, and offered pro-bono fundraising consulting for myriad non-profits groups.  Sara hails from Berkeley, California and holds a bachelor’s degree with high honors from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
