Summary

Antigone X by SDA Professor Paula Cizmar reimagines Sophocles’ tragedy for our troubled times, exploring how bonds of kinship and shared humanity endure–or fracture–under the pressure of displacement and authoritarian rule. Set in a landscape of refugee camps and social upheaval, this powerful adaptation asks who will dare to defy unjust laws and follow the higher call of love and decency. 

Taking advantage of our unique Los Angeles location, performances of this staged reading will be presented both on campus at the McClintock Theatre and at partnering professional theatres throughout the city, giving student performers invaluable exposure to broader audiences.

Ticketing

Tickets will go on sale September 3.
Tickets may be purchased at the theatre on the day of performance, subject to availability. Please note, the USC Ticket Office is cashless. USC students must log into their USC Ticket Office student account in order to receive special discounted student pricing.

Program
