Play 2: Somewhere Someone is Traveling Furiously Towards You
By Marilyn Schotland
Directed by Alison De La Cruz
Mourning her wife after a tragic accident, a recovering alcoholic and her nephew drive up the spine of Michigan to destroy the creature that killed her. Unbeknownst to them, the creature—an angel named Bunbury—is making the same trip with another grieving companion in tow. As the cars crisscross on the road, strange things take place and the world around them begins to collapse. Has all of this happened before? And will it be destined to repeat itself? Somewhere Someone is Traveling Furiously Towards You is a midwestern gothic about guilt, transformation and queer time.
