Swoosie Kurtz is a two-time Tony winner for her work on Fifth of July and The House of Blue Leaves, and Emmy winner for Carol and Company. She is well known for playing Melissa McCarthy’s mother on the sitcom Mike and Molly and has appeared in Liar Liar, Law and Order: SVU, Nurse Jackie, and is a lead/supporting role on ABC’s Pushing Daisies. Most recently, she can be seen in the remake of the film Overboard and the TV shows Man With a Plan and The Dangerous Book for Boys.
