The Sparks Center for Community & Culture at the USC School of Dramatic Arts serves as a space to empower collaborative and cultural innovation for the entire USC community. Led by Associate Dean of Community & Culture Anita Dashiell-Sparks and Chevaughan Dyer, the center’s director, the Sparks Center provides workshops and trainings that promote dialogue, awareness and allyship, as well as events that strengthen the experiences of the School’s community of students, faculty and staff. This programming is critical to furthering the School’s work to ensure authentic belonging and community within SDA for all community members. In addition, the Sparks Center also serves as a physical space on campus that seeks to help foster a safe community and to promote, nurture, and enhance diverse creativity throughout the university.
