Biography

Dr. Sergio Ramirez has served the USC School of Dramatic Arts since 2006 including his most recent appointment as associate dean of admissions and student services in 2017.  Prior to his arrival to USC, he served as a student affairs officer at the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies.

Dr. Ramirez completed his EdD in education leadership with an emphasis in higher education administration at the USC Rossier School of Education in 2013, his master’s degree in higher education administration from New York University in 2004, and his bachelor’s degree in public policy and management from USC in 2002.

As associate dean, Dr. Ramirez provides oversight and leadership for projects and initiatives related to recruitment, admissions and matriculation of both undergraduate and graduate students.

A native Californian, Dr. Ramirez’s personal hobbies and interests include spending time with family and friends, traveling and cheering on his USC Trojans.
