Second Stage: Anyone Can Whistle

Second Stage: Anyone Can Whistle

November 20–23, 2025

Sanctuary Theatre

Summary

Anyone Can Whistle is Stephen Sondheim’s musical about a corrupt mayoress who fakes a miracle to save her bankrupt town, and the romance between a rational nurse and an easygoing doctor caught in the chaos. This wacky, unconventional show delivers a poignant message about individualism versus conformity. With its circus-like atmosphere and dazzling Broadway score full of showstoppers, it bridges Sondheim’s traditional roots with his groundbreaking 1970s work. Featuring the BFA in Musical Theatre Junior Class.
