The 92^nd Annual Academy Awards celebrated achievements in cinema and the art form of storytelling. Behind the scenes, Trojans were making sure that the extravagant show could happen without flaws. SDA alums Vanessa J. Noon BFA ’96 and Madigan Stehly BFA ’14 were the production manager and lighting director, respectively, for the Oscars.

Noon just completed her 20th year working on the Oscars, and Stehly is a two-time Emmy award winner for Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special category. He has won this category twice: the first time in 2016 for Grease Live! and, most recently, in 2019 for Rent on FOX. .
