Writer, director, and longtime stand-up comic Judd Apatow visited Judith Shelton’s THTR 474: Introduction to Stand Up Comedy course last week, to offer students a bit of wisdom in the form of a comedy set. Apatow shared anecdotes about his time hosting at The Improv, living with comedy star Adam Sandler, and developing his own comedic voice. He also answered students’ questions about writing and directing, detailing his process for the classic romantic comedy film The 40-Year-Old Virgin and more, all within the hour.
