One of the few schools to have a dedicated Professional Development Center (PDC), the USC School of Dramatic Arts offers management-style support to graduating actors. With tailored resources for our designers and stage managers, the PDC helps students make the critical transition from the classroom to the profession.
Since its inception, the PDC has secured over 600 auditions for graduating students for major film, television and theatre projects, resulting in professional bookings and numerous placements with leading agents and managers. Signature PDC programs include our head-shot program, presentations and panel discussions with casting directors, year-round use of our audition-taping studio; Spotlight@SDA, which brings influential artists and creative professionals to campus to share insights from their careers and lead student workshops; and a Multihyphenate Series, which explores the many ways today’s artists are creating, collaborating and building dynamic careers across the entertainment industry. Some guests included Jason Bateman, Sterling K. Brown, Colman Domingo, Will Ferrell, and Mindy Kaling.
