Danny Strong executive produces 'Proven Innocent'

Alumnus Danny Strong BA ’96 is executive producer of FOX’s Proven Innocent, which follows a team of lawyers who work to exonerate inmates from wrongful convictions. The show — which stars Rachelle Lefevre, Russell Hornsby and Kelsey Grammer — premieres on Feb. 15 at 9/10 p.m. ET/PT.

Strong is also the creator, executive producer and writer of Empire. As an actor, his television and film credits include Girls, Justified, Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lee Daniels’ The Butler and Pleasantville. He wrote the screenplays for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 and 2, as well as wrote and executive produced Lee Daniel’s The Butler. He won a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards for writing the show Game Change. While at USC, Strong won the James Pendelton Award for Acting.
