Costume Technician II

Biography

Charlotte Stratton, Costume Technician, has been making costumes for USC School of Dramatic Arts since 2006 and teaches Costume Construction THTR 231.  Prior to joining the staff at USC, she worked as a cutter/assistant cutter at the LA Opera. She has also been a  cutter/costume shop manager at San Jose Repertory Theatre, a first-hand at the San Francisco Opera and the Santa Fe Opera; and a jr. draper at Arena Stage.  She has made costumes at Shakespeare Festivals in Utah, Colorado and Kentucky.  She has worked in a number of costume shops in Los Angeles such as Muto-Little, Bill Hargates, Center Theatre Group, as well as working on many outside projects in the television and music industries.
Charlotte received her BS in Textiles, Clothing, and Design with a Theatre Emphasis from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Charlotte is a member of Motion Picture Costumers IATSE Local 705.
