USC School of Dramatic Arts (SDA) alumni are among those nominated for awards this year for the 76th Annual Emmys®. So many of our talented alumni made meaningful contributions to the series and specials who received nominations this year – both in front of and behind the cameras. We celebrate them all.
Here are a few of the SDA alumni who were named in the nominations this year.
Alums Erin Anderson (BFA ’12) and Madigan Stehly (BFA ’14) were both nominated for Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction For A Variety Special for their work on The 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Erin Anderson also earned a second nomination for Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction For A Variety Series for her work on The Voice’s Finale.
Alum Joshua Allen (BA ’05) was nominated for his work as Writer/Co-Executive Producer of Apple TV+’s The Morning Show.
Sara Mardam-Bey’s (BA ’14) work as Senior Story Producer on Netflix’s Love Is Blind was recognized as the series was nominated for Outstanding Structured Reality Program.
Bellamie Blackstone (BA ’01) received a nomination for her work as Executive Producer/Consulting Producer for Wheel of Fortune as the series was nominated for Outstanding Game Show.
Jimmy Fowlie (BFA ’08) was nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series for his work on SNL.
The 76th Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be held on September 7 & 8, and the 76th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live at 5 p.m. PT on Sept. 15 on ABC and will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
