Writer-producer Anthony Sparks (BA ’94) was nominated for three 2017 NAACP Image Awards for his work in television and literature. His nominations include Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series (both for Queen Sugar), and Outstanding Literary Work-Instructional for Running the Long Race in Gifted Education: Narratives and Interviews from Culturally Diverse Gifted Adults.

The 48th NAACP Image Awards takes place on Saturday, Feb. 11.
