Biography
Summer Olivia Grubaugh is the Alumni Relations and Annual Fund Manager for the USC School of Dramatic Arts (SDA). She holds a B.F.A. in Stage Management from USC SDA and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from the University of Denver. After graduation from USC, Summer worked as a freelance stage manager at venues across Los Angeles. Some of her favorite projects from that time include Disgraced at the Ahmanson Theatre, Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the Pantages and an immersive production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest which transformed a warehouse in Burbank into the play’s psychiatric hospital. She also worked as a Stage Manager at the Disneyland Resort, helping to bring to life popular productions like Mickey and the Magical Map and Five & Dime.
After returning to school to earn her M.S. in Nonprofit Management, Summer worked at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. Putting both her Stage Management and her nonprofit skills to work, she managed the donor events and donor stewardship for the performing arts center and played a key role in fundraising over 3 million dollars for the organization during their most successful fundraising gala to date. She left the organization in 2023 and has worked at SDA since. Outside of work, she is an active volunteer with Saffyre Horse Sanctuary and the Los Angeles County Animal Services and an avid reader, writer, baker and theatre-goer.
