Biography
Sean Allinson is a sound engineer from Los Angeles, CA. Sean has served in a variety of facets throughout several shows during college, including Stage Manager, Lighting Designer and Sound Designer. Since, he has looked for ways to help create art through the medium of sound, from touring engineering for outdoor venues during his time with Shakespeare by the Sea, to A2’ing at the Geffen Playhouse.
As SDA’s Sound Supervisor, Sean is responsible for leading work-study crews in the implementation of sound designs for about 20 productions per year across four theatres as well as the upkeep and maintenance of all audio equipment. In addition to his production duties, he also facilitates the Design Lab, SDA’s physical and digital maker space and engineers for THEA 446 English Language Dubbing. Sean is thrilled to be at USC, continuously supporting the next generation of theatre makers while taking the opportunity to develop his own knowledge and ability.
Sean holds two bachelor’s degrees from Pepperdine University in Production/Design and Political Science.
