Summary

On the brink of a world war, a mysterious plague begins to kill everyone older than 45. A young doctor finds a cure, but what is the cost he is willing to ask the afflicted to pay? Written in 1937 as a response to the rise of Nazi Germany, this play bears an uncomfortable resemblance to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of fascism in the United States and around the world.
