2023’s talented incoming students at the USC School of Dramatic Arts (SDA) make up an historic class, as they will be the first to make use of the new drama center, opening in February 2024. Welcome Week featured events such as the Move In Day Parents Reception and the New Student Welcome, which kicked off the new academic year. Parents of new students gathered to mingle with staff and faculty, and heard remarks from Dean Emily Roxworthy, Vice Dean Lori Ray Fisher and Associate Dean of Advancement Sara Fousekis. The following day, new students joined a “Viva SDA” fiesta, celebrating the incredible achievements of the incoming class and highlighting a number of ways that incoming students kept themselves artistically engaged over the summer.
