John Ritter

Biography

John Ritter was best known for starring as Jack Tripper on the series Three’s Company (which earned him an Emmy and Golden Globe Award in 1984), and the spin-off Three’s a Crowd. He also starred on the sitcoms Hearts Afire, and 8 Simple Rules, and voiced the title character on the animated series Clifford the Big Red Dog. He was nominated for a total of six Emmy Awards, four Daytime Emmy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, and one SAG award. He also appeared in many films, including Stephen King’s It and Sling Blade.
