Michael Keenan is a faculty member at the USC School of Dramatic Arts. He began his professional career as a boy chorister with the San Francisco Opera in 1951 and has been in the theatre ever since. As an actor and director, he has worked with major repertory companies in the United States – including the Asolo Theatre, The Seattle Repertory Theatre, South Coast Repertory Theatre, The Centre Theatre Group, The Mark Taper Forum, Anteaus, The California Shakespeare Festival, The Arizona Theatre Company and The San Diego Shakespeare Festival. He has worked extensively on film and television, as well as work on Broadway. He directed his first play at USC in 1987 and has averaged one play a year since then. He has taught acting and directing at USC for the last 15 years.
